The lethal combination of hilarious writing, along with Ed O'Neil's comedic timing and overall performance really make this a classic in my book. If this show was on the air this day in age, I don't think they could have pulled off so many "fat women" jokes, or "dumb blonde" Kelly jokes.

Above you will find YouTube member slimzter's Best of Bundy Part 1 compilation. There were tons of wind, but it wasn't as cold as it normally is..... that is, during the day. But of course, once it turned to night, the wind remained, but it got cold. Really cold.

I preordered Super Smash Bros. Brawl months in advance. Probably almost half a year or so. Saying I was excited about the upcoming release would be an immense understatement. Super Smash Bros. was a game I have always loved playing simply for the fact that you have no idea how the rounds are going to go in the game. One minute you could be beating the snot out of your opponent, and the next, he's got a bomb or a hammer, which once either hits you, you're pretty much done for.

I arrived at the local GameStop at around 9:10 PM since they informed the people in the tournament we could be there was 9:30. I of course, decided that I really had nothing else to do that night, so I might as well throw my hat into the tournament. The way I saw it, I was playing Smash Bros. earlier than the people on line. I'd be getting a tiny crumb of that sweet sweet Smash Bros. goodness.

The first round I was up against someone named Anthony. He decided to pick Link. I, of course, picked the character I've come to know and love. The only character I feel at home with. The character who is respected by anyone and everyone in the video game world. *Ding*. Mario.

The match was pretty good. Fortunate for me though, he didn't know many moves for Link. All he seemed to be doing was Smash attacks. And Link isn't known for being very swift with his Smash attacks. I bobbed. I weeved. But ultimately, I couldn't get him out of the ring within the 2 minute time limit. "SUDDEN DEATH" was the next thing I heard. I knew now was the time to take him out. I ran towards him. He, of course, tried to finish me off with Link's Smash attack. Big mistake. I jumped over him and kicked him from behind, launching him off the side of the level. "GAME!".

I was sent out into the cold again to wait for the next round. There was a local Starbucks nearby, so I decided to head over there to warm my hands up for the next round of the tournament. If you think playing in a tournament is rough, try playing in a tournament with ice cold hands. Luckily, I found a hand dryer in the bathroom at Starbucks. Damn, I am one smart mother F-er.

I also want to make a note that while I was waiting for my turn in the second round, three guys drove by yelling out "Geeks!" and "It's sold out". It didn't bother me in the least because in a way, we are all "geeks". I noticed the folks that drove by were in a suped up sports car. These guys spend thousands of dollars upgrading their rides. You're telling me they're not "geeks" for being passionate about their rides? Just think about people in general. We are all "geeks" in our own way because we all have hobbies that we get into in order to kill the boredom that is our jobs and overall life. It's sad that the gamer's hobbies get looked down upon when we pretty much are like everyone else, except our hobby of choice is video games. Maybe if I devoted my life to cars or being a slave to a gym, I wouldn't get looked down upon. But then again, I never really cared what people thought of me or my hobbies. As long as I can look in the mirror each morning and be happy with who I am and what I've become.

Enough rambling and back to last night's festivities.

The next round I was up against a kid who I believe was 10-12 years old. Friggin....cake. I was Mario again and he picked....Link? Damn. People sure do love Link. We played on the Super Mario Sunshine level, which is a level that moves. The match started off with us on a platform flying around the level. We eventually landed on the ground and did battle there. Moments later though, the platform showed up again. I stopped attacking for a moment to make sure I was on the platform before the level left me behind, instantly killing me. Poor Link wasn't too lucky. +1 for me. Link came back and we battled some more. He was a little better than my previous opponent, but still enough for me to handle. I decided to become a moving target. I barely attacked him at all knowing I was up 1-0. We landed on another part of the level. Three green platforms sprouted up from the middle of the ocean. Link had a little bit of trouble with this level. He seemed to be stuck in the ocean and couldn't get out. I simply waited for him at the top of the platform. He finally made his way up. I jumped back to avoid his oncoming attack... but wait.. I suddenly was hanging from the floating platform again. That could only mean we'll soon be thrusted into the air again. The stage immediately dropped, along with Link who wasn't lucky enough to grab onto the floating platform as well. +1 for me. Being up 2-0 pretty much sealed my fate. I moved onto the 3rd round.

The 3rd round I was up against a guy who seemed like he was around my age, if not, a little younger. He had curly black hair, glasses, and a stuttering problem. I thought he was either very bad or very good just from the way he looked. The match started off fine. I was Mario, he was Link. I thought in my head he was surely an amateur for picking Link. The stage was the Brawl version of the Metroid stage. It seemed like a harmless stage, so I was only focusing on defeating him to move on to the next round. We traded blows. Bobbing and weaving. He wasn't an amateur. He knew all of the moves and when to use them. Finally, a challenge. It was a very good match for 1 minute and 45 seconds. Then....that's when it happened. There was a flashing red light. Sirens shrieked and broke the sounds of combat. The stage flipped. -1 for me.

I shook the hand of the winner and congratulated him on a fantastic match. My name was scratched off the tournament list and I was thrusted back into the cold, cold night behind 20 or so strangers. I simply put my iPod on to some Tenacious D and waited for the moment that I had originally been there for. To pick up my copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I checked the time. "11:10pm". Ugh. Almost an hour left to go. I contemplated going back into my car to thaw out. I looked back at the line. Common sense told me if a line has to wrap around 4 or 5 storefronts, then it's pretty much not a good idea to leave.

Standing there was just a blur for me. I was so cold. The day pretty much was mild, so I didn't think to bring a cap and scarf to keep me warm. I wish I would have been smarter before I waited in line. The musical styling of Tenacious D was the only thing I could listen to at the moment. Beezleboss to be exact. The song was about 5 or so minutes long. I knew if I listened to it over and over again that I'd eventually make it to midnight. I moved in my spot to the music. No, I wasn't dancing. I was simply moving myself so I wouldn't become a BB-sicle. All of a sudden, I heard "5 minutes!!". Ugh. Could you guys have told me when it was 1 minute left? Thanks to that announcement, time seemed to go even MORE slower than it already was. I felt like my limit of being in the cold was already at the point where if I didn't get indoors, I'd freeze. So I started jumping. The other folks in line thought I was doing it out of excitement for the game, so they started jumping along with me. That made me laugh. "3 minutes!" Ugh. Stop updating me on every minute and keep the countdown to 1 minute. I turned up my music, but all I could focus on was the chanting of "3 minutes" in the air.

"1 minute".

The countdown began. Now they moved from counting down the minutes to counting down the seconds. Then.... the counting stopped. It was officially midnight. The door to GameStop opened. The first 10 customers were let in. The line ACTUALLY moved forward for once. Moments later, I was at the register. I plopped down my receipt which was then marked by a black marker, and I was handed my copy of the game. No bag or nothing.... just the game. And I ran to my car. I don't know if I was running in order to thaw myself. Or if it was the fact that I felt like a teenager again all because of some silly game. Either way, I'm glad I've been exercising.

I go in my car. Turned it on and looked down at the passenger seat where my copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl lay. God... this was one long....friggin...night. And when/if the next installment of Super Smash Bros. comes out... I'll make sure to remind myself to wear a cap and a scarf.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bibitob.blogspot.com/2008/03/i-survived-smash-bros-brawl-midnight.html' title='I survived the Smash Bros. It seems THQ has got all 7 of you covered as they are currently working on All Star Cheer Squad for the Nintendo Wii/DS. In All Star Cheer Squad, you follow the life of a cheerleader as they learn new cheers, practice those very cheers, and ultimately become a captain! The game is going to take advantage of the Wii's motion controls as well as the upcoming Wii Fit board to really give players the cheerleading experience.

Jim Huntley, the director of global brand management for THQ gives his insight as to why the game is currently being developed:

With the explosive growth of the girls gaming market in recent years due to the continued success of Wii and DS, our ongoing goal is to stay at the cutting edge of that success by bringing a brand new property for this segment to these popular systems. We’re thrilled to introduce All Star Cheer Squad to the industry as a triple-a title that will get players involved in the action of what it takes to be an all star as well as make up their own unique cheer routines.”

And yes, I am aware April is coming very soon, but believe me when I say this is no joke.

In-Game Communication Coming to PS3 This Summer

Finally! I learned a popular neat little trick that makes a particular part of a picture pop out. It's actually not too hard to do and I'm enjoying what I'm able to do with it. The thing was, I needed a good photo that looked artsy in B&W for it to really work.

I looked through iPhoto to see if I could find something, and I saw all the pictures from my older brother's wedding in October. And that's how I came to this picture of my mother and I. So, I decided to photoshop it up. Check out the finished product above.

Oh yea, I decided to send my mom this picture as well. It's rare that I'm this thoughtful, so I thought I'd put it to full use. I think that's enough time for me to breathe some new life into my personal blog. I'm not sure who will end up reading this, but I'll try to be as entertaining as possible.

A little about myself since I am re-starting this blog o' mine. I am currently 25 years old, living in Fairview, NJ with my significant other, Jennifer. I pretty much have the dream job. I work as a public relations / marketing manager for FileFront.com (which is part of the Ziff Davis Game Group). More on that in future posts as I'm sure I'll have many exciting things to talk about when it comes to work.

Today was like any other day to be honest. I woke up, did my usual workout (which consists of burning between 250 - 300 calories a day playing Dance Dance Revolution), and did my work thing. Today though, I had a little bit of extra energy, so I decided to play drums in Rock Band during my lunch break. I always tend to go all out when I play Rock Band, so I had to take 2 showers today. I'm pretty much so clean that I'm actually glistening.

That's all for now. Big ups to Karla for reminding me how awesome it is to write again and for inspiring me to get back into chronically writing down my daily going ons so I can have great memories in the future.

John Mayer Interview - Opie & Anthony Show

I was listening to the Opie & Anthony show today and John Mayer was on and he is a really cool guy. He really influences me as an artist even more so now because he is always himself no matter what (he even said a couple of dirty things which made him seem more like a regular person). I really hope this whole music thing takes off, I would love to work with him one day. I mean, we both have similar likes and dislikes from what I heard in the interview.

BTW: My music is on hold due to financial reasons. It's hard to finish the project when I am paying for the majority of my recording studio time all by myself since no one wants to help fund my project (and even though I'm cool with my producers, I learn that people are out for the almighty dollar, but that's a different story for a different day) Hopefully I can get a job soon so I can finish the rest of my album. It sucks though because if I get a job, it'll be hard to pursue my music (i.e. doing shows). It really is a double-edged sword.

Oh well, I promise that once my album is released, I will do my best to do as many shows as I possibly can.

Till next time..

-B

Este Mundo - DONE!

I just received the complete version of another track for my album called "Este Mundo". It's a deeper song than the other ones, it's basically my "heal the world"... lol. But it has a very strong feel to it. I have gotten really great reviews on it from my closest of closes since this is a track that I will not release until I release my EP. But trust me folks, this is another one that you need to hear.

-B

Wet Paint Syndrome E-Zine

There is an article about me featured in my friend Will's "Wet Paint Syndrome". At The Disco - June 30th - Sayerville

Wow...what a show... it started with a band I never heard of called "The Hush Sound", but I liked what I heard and I will pick up their album very soon. The drummer Darren was also a sight to see. He had so much energy and had alot of facial expressions that added to his energy. Great band.

Then, came out these two unknowns that I really didn't like at all. They started off with an alternative version of "Oops I did it again!" that was more stupid than cool. And then they had a 10 minute song that was just keyboard and drums where the girl performer (who was on keyboards) was making dumb faces while the drummer just beat away at the drums.

But then, Panic! At The Disco came out and it was a great show! I know the majority of the songs (it's been a while since I knew the bands entire catalog, so it was nice to feel like a young kid again, studying all the lyrics of my favorite band) The band had great energy, great presence, great use of lights (there were some times where there was one center light on the stage pointing towards the band where it would look like it was a 1920's performance, very unique!)

So if anyone is looking for a great band to follow, I highly suggest Panic! At The Disco. They are a refreshing, unique band that have great songs and just a great sound in general!

-B

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bibitob.blogspot.com/2006/07/panic-at-disco-june-30th-sayerville.html' title='Panic! A bag full of my favorite candies, a device that connects via USB to keep your drinks cool, and also a device that is called "TV-B-Gone!". It has over 1000 tv brands programmed into it. When you press the button, it begins to go through it's cataloge to force the TV to turn off. I used it in a couple places and I got mixed results. Some TVs turned off, some didn't, but it's still fun to use!

Jen and I went to a cuban restaurant in the faggiest part of NYC, Chelsea. I mean, they even had banners outside of the windows, but that could have been due to the gay pride parade that was going on during the weekend. We both had Churassco, and it was really good. The meat was very tender and suculant, and the sauce was really good too. Then we had a tres leches cake, which wasn't that good, but I got a memorable birthday presentation from the waiter. He came up with the cake, lit the candle, and said a simple "Happy Birthday". I looked up at him and said "Thank you" and continued to look at him, expecting a song or a cuban style happy birthday wish..... I got nothing... he smiled and walked away, while I sat there like a lump. Sooo, I blew out my candle, we had the cake, and then we headed uptown for my next "surprise"

We got to about 45th St. and 8th Ave. and Jen told me it was there, but there was a line to get in. So, to keep the surprise a surprise, I decided to go to a website and read some news articles on my blackberry so I wouldn't hear anyone talking about the show around me. As soon as I got in, the usher pointed me towards our seats and my brother Juan and his girlfriend Melissa were there waiting for us. What a surprise that was that they were there too. The show Jen took me to see was Avenue Q, and I liked it. It had the infamous "The Internet Is For Porn" song in it, which I had no idea was from the show. It was funny, but very dirty at some parts (let's just say I got to see what puppets having sex looked like)

Saturday was busy too. At around 12pm, I went to my dad's house to have a birthday lunch with him and my brothers. So I had a hotdog and a little nibble of some ribs my father made (which were awesome), then I left at 5 for my next "surprise".

I parked near blvd. east to take a bus into NYC, and I see my friend Oscar standing there at the bus stop. At first I thought it was a coincidence that he was there to go into the city too, but then I found out later he was going to my party at Dave & Busters. We got there and Karla was sitting at a table waiting for us. So we all talked, and played a couple of games. Then the rest of my friends showed up, Felipe, Yamaris, Omar, Lui, even Nardeen came! And then there was a huge surprise appearance by Danny, Karola, and Alyssa! I haven't seen Danny and Karola since they originally left to Florida, so I was happy to see them again. And Alyssa is a baby that's not related to me that I actually like! She is really playful and funny! I also made her smile a couple of times and I even had the honor of being drooled on by her... but I really didn't mind, I mean, she's a baby! Drool is 2nd nature to babies!

Then Sunday came and we all went bowling in Hackensack. I did pretty well in the first game, but then iiii suuuuucked the 2nd game.. lol. After that, we headed to Pizzaria Uno cause Danny was craving it since the closest Uno is 3 hrs away for him in Orlando. I had a side salad and a coke since I wasn't that hungry since before bowling Jen and I had some General Tso's from a local chinese joint.

So yea, a very fun weekend with all my friends. Thanks to everyone who shared my birthday weekend (well, Fri-Sat, Sun was just a regular chill day). Also, thanks to Jenny for my great gifts and my surprises. But I think next year, I'll ask her to just tell me what we're doing since Jen is reeeally bad with directions.

-B

Busy busy busy

I've been super busy with work. It's worth it though because I know I am working my ass off for now in order to finance my music. I tried to look for investors in the past, but I didn't find anyone. So, like my mother always taught me, you can't rely on anyone but yourself. So now I'm working my ass off. I get paid pretty well, but man do I have 9-5s. I just don't like how you basically are a slave to a company for days, months, years of your life. And for what...to buy a house? Car? New toaster? Life should not be like this. We only have a limited time on this planet, were we really meant to be in an office setting, copying, filing, faxing? It really is sad how lost the world has become. All of that time spent in school and college to hopefully get a good job. And what if you get that job and realize that this isn't the life you wanted? All of that sacrificing and nights of staying up late to get just one more chapter in before you collapse from exhaustion.

So basically now I'm more determined to continue my music career. I cannot live like this. I can't wake up at 7:00am, come home at 6, and feel good about myself. I want to live life to it's fullest. The way we were meant to live. And cubicles aren't involved...

-B

Welcome visitors of bbsmusiconline.com!

Good morning and welcome to my personal blog!

I have set up the "What's New" section of my site to link to my personal blog. If you'd like to hear it, visit my myspace music page, the track is up there.

-B

Hip Hop Summit

I was invited by my good friend Donte909 to go to the Hip Hop summit in order to learn a little more about the music industry and where I need to be. It was very informative as the subject of the summit was making sure to save money. They gave information on how to check your credit score for free, what "Net Worth" is, and it also taught me to basically take this music thing as a business and anyone can be independant thank to th internet. So just as a head's up to all my close friends that I will not be giving away free CDs since I am putting alot of money into this and I need to get compensated in return. It's not me being a d*** or anything, it's just the truth. Like the big boys say, don't take it personal, it's just business. But don't worry, I won't make the CD an obscene amount, I'll go over the numbers and try to offer the best price for my product.

I also was invited in order to mingle with people in the music business and hopefully meet someone who will help me further my career. I handed out I'd say 3 or 4 CDs myself to an assistant A&R from Jive Records, a reggaeton DJ, and also a big time promoter, when my manager (Jen) handed out the rest to them to anyone else who looked important. So let's see where this takes me...

Also, I got a nice little wake-up call ayer. One of the CDs Jen handed out was on the floor with foot prints on it. It bothered me and didn't bother me at the same time. It didn't bother me because I had Jen retreive it for me so I can have another CD to hand out, but it bothered me because if the asshole didn't want it, then he could have just said no. But he had to be an asshole and take it, look at it, see my face, and decide to just drop it on the floor. It's cool though, people like that get nowhere in life. Like it would have literally killed him to listen to my music. Like the second he puts it in his piece of crap sound system he calls a car, he will literally keel over and die just from hearing it.

So yea...didn't bother me one bit...

-B

-B

My breakfast tastes a little sweeter knowing this is out there...

Check out the bottom right pic...

I'm going to pick up a copy of the musicconnection magazine. I called him right now and I asked him if he was able to hear any of my songs, he told me that last night he was DJing and the club was just going crazy, so he wasn't able to get it to play, BUT, he said that he will listen to my music today and he will let me know what he honestly thinks of it, and also, he is going to play my song tonight at the club to see what the people think of it. He is going to call me tomorrow to let me know what he thought and also how the people reacted to my music.

It's funny cause tonight is huge for me, but I can't be there to witness what the people think of my music. I would love to be there to see everyone's reaction, but I guess this is what it's like to be a real musician, to have your music play somewhere and you pretty much don't know when and where it's played. I feel a little weird, I feel like a parent in some way. "Escuchame" is a song that I worked my ass off to do (along with my producer) and now it's going out there, into the real world, to either be accepted or denied.

...let's all hope it gets accepted...

-B

Bad Boy Entertainment Party

The party went pretty well for the most part. I had all of my business cards ready, and I distributed them at the bar. I then hung out for a while and danced with Jen. Donte came at around 12am and started doing his own thing. The highlight of the evening happened when Jen went to put some more cards on the bar for me and a DJ asked her what she was putting down. She gave him a brief description of me and the DJ was interested in meeting me. Jen then got me and I began to describe my unique music style to the DJ. I gave him my CD (as well as his manager) and told him that the first song is what my producer likes to call a "Pop Reggaeton" song that I recorded, the next one was a darker song with a great melody and alot of meaning behind it. And the last was an acoustic song similar to John Mayer's style. He then told me that he will try them out at his club and to call him to find out how it went.

So tomorrow I plan on calling him sometime in the afternoon to find out how the crowd enjoyed my music.

That was basically it...

-B

Good Deed!

I had to go out today to run some errands and my last stop was CVS. I noticed that there was a homeless guy outside of it asking for people for change. I also noticed that everyone was ignoring him, and at first I ignored him too. I got out of CVS and headed towards my car, and my gut told me to help him, and I ignored it at first, but I'm always ignoring that feeling and then I regret that I didn't do it later. We left at about 12pm or so because Joel had to do some work in the morning, but the trip to there went by so quick. On the way down, I decided to show Joel and Nelly my new song since they always enjoy my new songs, and they did enjoy this new one as well. Joel was a little confused because I said it was supposed to be reggaeton, but his definition of reggaeton was spanish singing with rapping. I told him that it was my twist of reggaeton, that my producer calls it "Pop Reggaeton".

When we got to AC, we went directly to Ceasar's Palace and proceded to the roulette table (which was good since I'm often lucky there) My first bet of the day was on the 2nd set of 12, which is a 3-1 odds. I put down $15 and I won! Then I did some more gambling, but I don't recall blow by blow what happened. Let's just say that I came out even at the end of the night.

Then, when we were finished with Cesar's, we went to the Borgata and gambled a little more, and then had the infamous Borgata buffet. Everything was really really good, I mean, I was eating steak, general tso's chicken, and pizza! When else in one's life would you ever eat that combination except for at a buffet. And the thing is, that the food was really really good. But it did come at a cost.. $27.95. But man, it was well worth it. EVEN THE DESERTS WERE GOOD!

Then...it was time for the main event...to watch Brian Regan perform...and he was well worth the trip! He was HILARIOUS! And I know a thing or two about comedy, and he was just flowing with his set so naturally. And even when a couple of people yelled out, he had a great response to them. If anyone ever has a chance to watch Brian Regan perform, please go see him. He is still a very humble guy after so many performances, he is a down to earth guy with a wife and 2 kids, and the best thing about his set is that it's completely clean. He is funny without the need to curse. Only a handful of comics can pull that off. www.brianregan.com

And that was the end of my mini-vacation to AC. I'm excited because he is my favorite comedian of all time, I can't help but laugh at his act even though I probably heard his jokes like a million time. Also, tonight I am going to experience the infamous Borgata buffet. My brother warned me that it's about $30 or so, but maaaaan, I'm sure the food will be AWESOME! Plus, I just got paid on Friday so I have a little bit of extra cash that I can spend.

Well, that's all for now, I'll try to remember to update my blog tomorrow morning after I wake up from my looooong night of laughing!

-B

Bubba Sparxxx Album Release Party

Last night, my good friend/producer Donte909 invited me to attend the Bubba Sparxxx album release party. It was my first type of music event, so I was a little nervous. I burned about 20 or so CDs in case I happened to meet someone who was interested in my music and I also updated my iPod with my new song. I got there at about 8pm and I proceeded directly to the DJ area, submitted my CD and I requested if he could play the first track sometime in the evening. He said no problem. I then started to walk around and see what kind of people were around. Since Donte wasn't there yet, I decided to just walk around and take in the atmosphere. He has suggested that I mingle at this event, but I'm not the type of person to sit down with complete strangers and strike up conversation. So I just basically stood around, had a drink, observed the people, and waited for Donte. I waited for him until about 11:30pm, that's when he and his brother (Big Ben) FINALLY got there. He then proceeded to take pics of some of the people there, got their information, and then he introduced me as his reggaeton artist and if they'd mind taking a pic with me. It was more fun when he was there.

Then, towards the end of the night, Donte had me snap a shot with some guy with a white baseball cap and a fur jacket. I had no idea who is was, but here is the pic...

...so after the pic, Donte asks me, "Do you know who that was?" and I say, "No, but I know that he was wearing alot of fur" then he says "That was Bennie Man" and I was just shocked that he was there and also how Donte got the pic off so quickly and perfectly. As soon as the rest of the place knew, it turned from Bubba's party to Beenie's party. They were playing all Beenie's songs for the rest of the night. Then, as we were leaving, Bubba was passing us by and Donte asked if he could take a pic with me that I was an up-and-coming reggaeton artist, he agreed, but then these two girls I took pics with earlier jumped on him and were like seducing him while Donte was trying to get the pic. Donte called his attention and he proceeded to pose for the camera...

... so yea, basically that was my evening. And then on April 7th, I have tickets to go to the bad boy entertainment party at the copa in NYC. I am going to try to get business cards done so I can put with my CD so I can possibly hand them out to people.

Till next time friends...

-B

Money

You know, it's funny how people with loads of money barely know what to do with it. So they fill their houses with stupid crap like gold-plated pinball machines, or 8 different cars to barely use, just to say they have them. And then, people with little or no money could really use that money for small things like paying bills or getting food for their family. I am one of those people who have little or no money, but I know exactly what I can do with it. I sacrifice alot of time and effort for my future, and it's silly that a little thing like money could get in the way of my dreams. If I had an unlimited amount of money, my album would be done by now and would be distributed already and the wheels would be in motion. BUT, because I don't have it, the wheels are halted for now until I can get enough money in order to pay for everything. And I am not looking for a handout, I am just sharing my thoughts and opinions. I know there are people out there who would like to give me what little money they have, but I can't live with myself knowing that I am taking money from someone who already has so little. So I have to just toughen up and find ways to make alot of money in a short amount of time (legally of course)

Well, that's enough for now... I'll go back to watching FREE TV, cause that's the most fun I can have without spending any money...

-B

New Musica!

This will be a short but sweet update. I really have outdone myself with this current project. I mean, there is no way that I can define what I wrote and what everything sounds like so far. And it's not over yet, my producer is going to work on the background music and he told me that he is going to "bless" the song. I seriously cannot believe what is transpiring, I mean, we are both SICK in what we do. And the music that we both will make will really be crazy.

Also, on a side note, I got a sidekick II off ebay the other day and so far I'm liking it. It's a little bigger than normal phones, but that's ok because of all the data I can transfer from it. I love getting my emails while I'm out and being able to keep track of my calendar, photos, address book, all that good stuff in one device. I read on the net that the Sidekick 3 is coming out in April or so. I think if I have enough loot from either my new part-time job or from my music, I'll def. pick that bad boy up. It's about time too. Tomorrow morning I have an interview for a part-time help desk position in the city. Then I am going with Jen for her interview doing some hippie stuff that has to do with saving the planet. Then in the afternoon we're getting picked up to go to Long Island so Jen can audition to be in a group. Then at night, I'm going with my brothers to watch a Nets vs. Knicks game... in a suite! Then sabado I am planning to get my new sidekick II turned on. Sunday I'm going to pass by my dad's house to drop off my gift for his new baby. Then the whoooole next week I am working in Iselin, NJ to deploy laptops for my temp agency. THEN, we'll see if I get the job with the part-time help desk position and hopefully I'll be working from time to time in the city. I miss doing help desk stuff.

I also just talked to my producer and it seems that our calendars are clashing a little bit and we can't record my music this weekend. It's a good thing and a bad thing since I could focus more on saving money to help pay some bills and stuff.

*whew* I sure am busy....

-B

A little nervous about my future

I was just up listening to some music and I was thinking about my "career". I'm a little nervous about my future. I mean, I am currently not going to school, I work part-time as a PC tech.. the pay is good but I don't get that much work, so my paycheck isn't huge at the end of the week...all I really have is my music. It gets me angry seeing people on like American Idol or some other reality show trying to be pop superstars through a show. I think that's the easy way out...to sing music that is already written to judges..that's cake. I don't think I'd be able to live with myself if I went that route. Even though I know I am taking the harder route by writing my own stuff and just praying to whatever god that is up there that people will like it... because this literally is it for me... I have nothing else but this hope that my music becomes something... I know my family thinks that I am a dissapointment and I feel like I am a burden sometimes because I am not as successful as my brothers are... but I just can't do well in school... as hard as I try, I can't do it...

I'm even more nervous now because I need to come up with money that I literally don't have... I am going to come up with the money to pay for 1 song to be produced, but then I have to pray that my producer can show that song to the right person who will want to help finance the rest of my project... when I talked to him this past week, he told me that his partners don't want to finance another reggaeton artist because... and I quote... "Nah man... Daddy Yankee got dat shit locked down." That is what is driving me right now.. to prove to those people who think that reggaeton should be one way wrong. I am going to open their eyes back to what music should be. It should be a catchy melody, story, and also someone who can tell it well. I am not going to make mindless music like other reggaeton artists out there. I am really going to surprise you all with my writing and my arrangement. Hopefully the rest of the world will see my talent and help me become something. Then we'll see what my family thinks of me...

Thanks for reading...

-B

Eminem - When I'm Gone

I know this song is probably somewhat old to everyone, but I listened to this song very carefully today and I realized how truly deep it is. I can really relate to Em in a way because him and I want to tell stories with our music (and sometimes we know those stories are pretty scary.. i.e. Kim) and he truly paints a great picture in this song on the reason why he is leaving music (as a performer anyways, I'm sure he'll still produce). I feel that this is a great final song for Em, it feels like it's his most honest.

I just hope that I can be as blessed as him as a musician. I respect him so much for all he has written and all he has done and I personally will miss his music. (update on music)

Hey everyone, just wanted to give an update on my music. Well, I talked to my BMG rep and I sang 3 new songs that I wrote for him over the phone. He liked 2 songs and put a question mark on one of them. He really likes my style of writing and he believes that my uniqueness is what is going to sell me. We are having a bit of difficulty finding someone who will finance the project. He told me that he showed my music page to a co-partner of his and the guy wasn't feeling my music. He tried to tell him that the stuff I am writing now is hot and to trust him, but he doesn't want to put money into my project without hearing anything. I am not able to pay for the studio time and he cannot finance it because he just worked with 2 other artists and he just does not have the money. It is rather expensive since I have to get about 5 songs done to have a single album. He told me alot of information about the music business and I didn't expect there to be so much work. He told me the hardest part right now is getting the music done, and he believes that I can handle that with no problem. So right now I have 3 songs that he really likes and 1 iffy, he also recommended that I write a song that is up-tempo, so I'll give that a try since I'm so used to a more mellow vibe. I have a surprise for all of you though, I plan on poking fun at the reggaeton that is currently out there (nothing malicious, just something to show my humor) like I plan on tackling how the majority of the songs out there are garbage because the writing is really bad, or that some songs invent words just so they could sound hot (Rackata? Gasolina = semen?) So yea, I'd love to know what you all think about that concept and just any well wishes or "You can do it Beebs!" would be much appreciated. BTW: I want to give a big thank you to Jenny wenny for helping me get in contact with this guy. So hopefully she can help finance my record too

-B

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bibitob.blogspot.com/2006/02/3-out-of-4-aint-bad-update-on-music.html' title='3 out of 4 ain't bad! It's a small place and it has a nice feel to it. I was performing along with 5 other artists. When I was introduced, the MC didn't know if I was a guy or a girl. He said "And next, coming up to the stage, he or she resides from West New York.." and I yell out "HEEEE!" so he says "Oh, he, he resides in West New York, give it up for BB".

I go up to a couple of claps and I'm told to talk to the audience. I've never done that before so I said whatever came to mind "Hey...um...my name is BB...I'm a guy last time I checked..." then some guy from the bar yells "Put some bass in your voice!" and I say "Put some bass in my voice? Dude, I'm a singer, I don't need bass in my voice" Then the DJ asks if I'm done to put the CD on and I said yea.

After my performance I think everyone clapped for me (I wasn't sure, I wanted to get off stage cause I had a hot plate of nachos waiting for me at my table) and a woman by my table asked me who helped me with the backup music. I proceded to tap on my head and I told her it was all from there. She was very surprised and said that I have a gift and that it sounded very very good.

I then sat back and enjoyed the rest of the evening. The DJ came to me later on in the night and told me that the song was very good, but I just needed to work on my stage presence. I told him that it was the first time I performed in about 8 years and he said Daaaamn, that's a long as time.

Then, towards the end of the night, I was on my way out and the man who was in charge of the show said "You leaving BB? You want to come back next week and perform again?" I said "Hell yea I do". Then the next day I wrote to him thanking him for the opportunity to perform and I received this email response:

We would like to thank you for performing and attending our Wednesday showcase. We and all of our patrons enjoyed your performance and would love to have you and your guest back for Wednesday January 18th.

Sooo... BB is going back to 88 Keys next week. Hope ya'll can make it.

-B

BB's 1st Performance in 8 Years

Hey everyone, I just wanted to update you all on an upcoming show. The address, date and time are on my music page. Just to give you a rundown, it's a show for unsigned artists to perform and hopefully get picked by the 105.1 radio personnel. If I get chosen, I could get paid gigs at venues run by 105.1 in the NY and NJ area. Also, a track of mine will be played on the radio for the tri-state area to hear.

So go to my music page and find out where/when it is. This person wasn't someone that I frequently saw, instead it was a close friend of my grandparents. My grandmother and mother were crying quite a bit at the funeral. And that got me to thinking that death is the only certainty in life. I mean, no one really knows when it will come for us, that's why we need to live each day as if it was our last. This man died from cancer, but I don't know if he truly knew what he had because old cuban customs say that you shouldn't let the person who is going to die know that they are going to die. I don't believe in that at all because if I want to be able to say my goodbyes to everyone that has effected my life in a way, and to also make one last effort to show the ones I love how much I appreciated their help in my life. I have rubbed elbows with death in the past, but thank god that I am one tough son of a bitch and I can take anything... so far. I am trying my best to stay healthy because I don't want anyone worrying about me dying. I know my brothers for one will really miss me since the 3 of us are connected no matter where we are or what we are doing. It's like we have our own seperate family from our immediate. We are kind of like and immediate immediate family.

I just wanted to share my enlightening experience rather than keep it inside. If anyone reads this, I would really appreciate a comment on what you think about death and also how you want to be remembered. And also, if I effected your life in any way, I would appreciate if you shared that with me also. I don't get serious often, so this is quite rare.

R.I.P Alfredo.

-B

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West

Hey everyone, I noticed that i has been a while since I wrote another blog on my page, so I thought I would write briefly about my experience with the new book that I got for Christmas from my brother. It's called "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" and I am loving it. I have never been a big fan of reading cause, quite frankly, who needs to read when there are so many more interesting things on TV. But man oh man, this book might get me started into reading books as a regular hobby. The idea of the book, just like the play, is an alternate look at the world of Oz. The main focus on the book is Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West). It tells you how she was born, how she was raised, and right now I am up to where she goes to Shiz University (the school most gifted kids go to to learn).

I also received the sequel to this book, Son of a Witch, which I'm guessing follows Elphaba's son. Should be an interesting couple of months reading these two books. I would recommend all my friends see the Wicked play I mentioned in my earlier blog and then pick up the book, it really is a great experience.

-B

Wicked

Thursday night I got to catch Wicked, the musical about the life of the wicked witch of the west (from Wizard of Oz fame) It was a great...friggin...play! I loved every minute of it. Whoever came up with this play has a great imagination cause it really changes the way I will forever view The Wizard of Oz. The music is addictive (I'm listening to the soundtrack right now to relive the moment), the story is top notch, acting was superb, and to make things better, I went in order to celebrate my brother's 25th birthday, and I surprised him with an upgrade of his tickets. Going from the Rear Mezz to Orchestra seating (he was pleasantly surprised and really did appreciate it)

Well, like I said, if you haven't caught this play, I really really really really really recommend it if you are into musicals, plays, or just anything fun cause this truly was an eye opener for me and I will be catching this play from time to time in my lifetime.

http://www.wickedthemusical.com/

-B

P.S. I personally never heard of him before, but he's been in the business for a very long time. His name is Kenneth Banks. His style is basically old funk (if you hear the song "Jungle Boogy", he is the deep voice in the beginning of that) So he is coming out with another CD very soon and he is going to be going on performances and I might be going on the road with him as a backup singer. That is pretty big cause if any of you know me, I have never done anything big like this. I would just sit back, put together melodies and words, and just goof off. So for someone in the business to tell me that he likes me and believes I can become an asset to his company is a big deal. He also told us that basically we (I and the other backup singers) have a home with his company. He will help us along the way and he will also help us record our own albums and release them.

So yea, I'm pretty happy that I got the job, next weekend I am going to the studio to lay down some background tracks for him, and I'm getting paid $50 buckaroos! Woohoo!

I'll keep you all informed on what happens next. Thank you all for your support and your well wishes.

Gallaudet university

I am sitting her in my car waiting for the woman to finish with her hair and I was just recalling my experience st gallaudet university this past weekend in Washington D.C. It was an interesting experience. For those of you who don't know about the school, it is a school for the deaf. It was interesting to see everyone signing to each other full conversations. For once, I felt like the outcast in their world. There were some who obviously read lips, and some who did not, like this young woman who worked at the hotel cafe. I went to tell her what I had ordered so she could ring it up, but she motioned for me to write out what I had.

They also had a channel dedicated to stuff that was going on in the college, and the entire thing was done in sign. The anchors signed, the interviewers signed, the basketball coach signed, even the comedic entertainment in between segments signed (which wasn't very funny to me, but I guess you have to be deaf in order to understand it) and they also showed something that blew my mind. Deaf kids at a dorm party dancing! And they were on beat and also knew what types of music was playing and how to dance to it!

Sent wirelessly via BlackBerry from T-Mobile.

Hobbies

I was having one of my pensive moments right now and I was just wondering why people are so judgmental over their hobbies. Like let's say that your way into cars. You spend all of your money on your car and many a woman idolize you for it. Or let's say your a DJ. You get gigs and shit like that and you have alot of fans that enjoy your work. Now...why is it no one puts the same idolization if you enjoy doing something...well...let's say like working with computers. I get labeled as a geek because I like getting into the inside of PCs and seeing what makes them tick and how to make them better. The same thrill some racer feels getting a new part for his toy is the same thrill i feel getting a new part for my toy. Why is it though that I get labeled a geek and he doesn't? Just because of the subject matter?

I wouldn't label myself as a geek. A true geek has intellect on his side, and if you know me well you know that intellect sometimes escapes me. Geeks are awkward all the time, smell like cheese, wear their pants too high, can make candles out of their earwax, all in all, geeks are a disgusting specimen. I would say i'm a new brand of geek. I actually do care about my appearance, I'm funny, caring, and I get along with the majority of people I meet

I believe that if you have passion for something then go with it. Doesn't matter the subject, as long as you act like it's christmas morning whenever someone talks about something you love to do.

Well...that's all I have to say for now... back to you fuckers...

P.S. I like video games too *snort*

2 week notice? My ayas!

I very rarely get pensive, I am naturally goofy and silly. But that doesn't mean that I can't have serious thoughts or discussions. When I do get serious, it really is a sight to see because I really get focused on what the discussion is. I get in a weird zone.

Anyways, I was having another one of my pensive moods earlier today and I was just wondering why is it right that my job basically told me I was let the at the end of the day without any forwarning? Why is it customery for jobs to require a two week notice if you are going to quit, but yet some jobs can do this and just tell you straight up "We have to let you go"... and it's not like I didn't do my job, I did my job very well. It had to do with my health issues, I was let go because I didn't follow their "call out procedures". They wanted me to call like 4 people's personal cell phone numbers at 6am in order to call out for one day. I wasnt aware of the procedures. I am, just like everyone else, used to calling a manager/boss figure and leaving them either a voicemail or letting them know that I will be out, not calling 4 people's personal cell phones in order to call out for one stupid day.

Discuss...

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bibitob.blogspot.com/2005/06/2-week-notice-my-ayas.html' title='2 week notice? I think "Where was that person and what was he/she doing to receive that miraculous gift". That's what scars are, a gift for a 2nd chance. I have been given many 2nd chances.
